Fresh from the success of their most recent album Build a Rocket Boys – Elbow headed to Jodrell Bank for a special one off performance in front of 5000 very soggy people, the heavens opened right on cue as the Manchester five-piece took the stage.

Our OB trucks were there for the gig, we provided 9 x Sony HDC-1500 cameras as part of the package. The event was recorded on Sony XDCAM HD at the Astrophysics centre in Macclesfield. Despite some camera positions being up to 500ft away and up 150ft Cherry Pickers, the show was recorded successfully.

A DVD of the performance will be released in the future, well worth a watch if you’re into these guys.
