HDW-650P

The HDW-650P incorporates the latest developments in acquisition technology to capture breathtaking HD images. It can record pictures in 1080/50i and 59.94i interlace mode, as well as in 1080/25P where a natural 'film look' is required. The camcorder features three newly developed 2/3-inch type Power HAD FX CCDs, a 14-bit A/D converter, and a state-of-the-art DSP LSI signal processing. This provides extremely wide tonal reproduction, as well as a high sensitivity of F12 at 50 Hz. A signal-to-noise ratio of up to 59dB is realised using a newly developed noise-suppression function. The HDW-650P is equipped with many useful features as standard - including a 3.5-inch colour LCD screen located on the inside panel - all packaged into a well-balanced, reliable chassis. Other benefits include two HD-SDI outputs, a down-converted SD output, selectable gamma characteristics (HyperGamma), interval recording, picture cache recording, and a slow shutter function - all provided as standard. Addition of an optional colour or monochrome viewfinder and an optional ECM series microphone completes the feature set.

Canon XF305

The XF305, one of Canon’s first file-based professional camcorders, combines an MPEG-2, 50Mbps, 4:2:2 codec with a Canon L-series lens and 3 Full HD CMOS sensors for superb HD video stored on CF card.

HDW-790

Sony has introduced the HDW-790P, the successor model to the HDW-750P. This new camcorder records pictures in either 1080/50i interlace or 1080/25P progressive modes

The HDW-790P features an extremely compact and lightweight design, with a robust and reliable construction. The use of three 2.2 million-pixel FIT CCDs, and 12-bit Advanced Digital Signal Processing (ADSP) ensures superb picture quality.

In addition to 12bit ADSP, the HDW-790P also shares a number of other features with the top-of-the-range HDW-F900R. These include 2 HD-SDI outputs, inputs for recording 4 channels of 20-bit AES/EBU digital audio and 4 HyperGamma settings, which allow the cinematographer to precisely optimise the desired 'look' of the acquired image.

PMW-EX3

The PMW-EX3 follows on from the successful launch of the new PMW-EX1 and offers all the great features of the PMW-EX1 in a new semi-shoulder design. In addition to this new design the camcorder also features an interchangeable lens system, genlock, timecode and remote control capability for real added flexibility, offering a low-cost HD studio solution. The PMW-EX3 combines a state-of-the-art, non-linear XDCAM workflow with simply the best HD quality yet seen in a semi-shoulder camcorder. It is also the first semi-shoulder camcorder to carry the legendary CineAlta 24P brand with multiple frame rate recording capability such as 59.94i, 50i, and native 23.98P, as well being 1080i/720P switchable.
